Bid for Power is a 3 to 6 player game of ruthless fantasy politics. Play one of the chief factions in the Imperial capital city, each with a unique theme and playstyle. Faction victory conditions range from converting important persons and building a public temple (for the Cult of Kyrinna) to assassinating government officials and plotting rebellion (for the Red Brotherhood) or accumulation of wealth and influence and dominance of Imperial trade (for House Derranos).
In addition to achieving your faction’s specific goals, you must put a puppet onto the Imperial throne, by manipulation or murder. But if the last living Imperial heir dies, the Empire will fall into civil war and everyone loses!
Bid for Power encourages player-to-player deal making, negotiations, and betrayal. Great swings of fortune are possible and no player is ever really out of the running to win.
